This project is concerned with the institute building, the "Bluhaus" and the community of instant messenger buddies - made up of IDII students
For the instant messenger>director interface model, the bluhaus is essentially another buddy, who is informed when others in the group sign on, sign off, become idle, return, change nickname etc - and can receive direct messages from anyone in the group. In this model, the bluhaus deos not send out messages or replies - it only receives, pocesses and broadcasts messages from others.
In the diagram above -
- The bluhaus is one single entity fixed to a single point in space, and is surrounded by the community of individuals not fixed to a single point in space.
- Faint orange lines represent possible messaging connections between individuals.
- Thicker orange lines represent messaging connections between the community individuals and the bluhaus.
